Story: Titanique at Théâtre du Lido

Get ready to embark on an unforgettable voyage with Titanique, the most hilarious musical ever to come out of Off-Broadway, which drops anchor in Paris at Théâtre du Lido from April 24th, 2025.

Imagine the scenario: Jack and Rose sail towards their tragic fate, but this time an unexpected passenger comes on board.

No, it's not an iceberg, but Céline Dion herself! In this jukebox musical, the Canadian diva, played by Lauren Drew, revisits the story of the Titanic and gives us her own version of the events of that famous night.

You can expect a tidal wave of laughter, bold cardboard sets, colourful characters and, of course, Céline Dion's greatest hits. From I'm Alive to My Heart Will Go On, each song is reinterpreted with a touch of scathing humour.

The show is created by Marla Mindelle, Constantine Rousouli and Tye Blue, with staging by Tye Blue. Nicholas Connell is responsible for the orchestrations and arrangements, while Ellenore Scott dives into the role of choreographer.

Ready to relive the story of the Titanic as you've never seen it before? Climb aboard Titanique and let yourself be swept away by a wave of laughter and unforgettable songs. After all, only the Queen of Power Ballads herself could save your heart from sinking at this tragic tale…

You want to laugh... So you've found the show you need. It’s bound to make a splash!

History and Fun Facts about Théâtre du Lido

With its pristine location directly on the most famous street in Paris, the Théâtre du Lido lights up the Champs-Élysées with a spectacular show of a new type of shows for this venue… Musicals!

In the 1920s, the venue was located just down the avenue from its current location and served as both a bathhouse and an entertainment venue for the working class. After World War II, it was purchased by two Italian-born brothers, Joseph and Louis Clerico, who opened the famous Lido cabaret in 1946. Inspired by Venetian luxury, the brothers chose to decorate the establishment with all the splendor of La Serenissima, and named it after one of its most famous beaches. Having quickly built a reputation as the Parisian nightlife Mecca, where one went both to see and to be seen, the Lido attracted talent from around the world, such as the famous Irish dancer Margaret Kelly and her troupe, the Bluebell Girls. With their extravagant costumes, the professional dancers quickly became an attraction in and of themselves.

With a new wave of direction, the Lido cabaret with its glittery, glamorous Bluebell Girls ceased to exist in September 2022 and officially changed its name to Théâtre du Lido is as well as announced their new focus on musicals. Since December 2022, Théâtre du Lido Paris started their journey in producing high quality, internationally famous musicals in their original language with some of the greatest Broadway theatre performers and actors hailing from all corners of the world!
If you're looking for the perfect place to see a Broadway musical, no need to go to New York... Théâtre du Lido has got everything and more!
